Cups and caps
Dick Pym played in two more Cup Finals. In 1926, Bolton Wanderers beat Manchester City 1-0 and in 1929 they won against Portsmouth 2-0. In three Cup Finals, Pym did not concede a single goal.
The fisherman goalkeeper became a national celebrity, famously teetotal and a non-smoker, although often depicted on cigarette cards. He also met three kings.

He was capped for England against Wales and Scotland and represented the English League in matches against the Irish and Scottish Leagues.
